- Mark Burnside, Director, Forvis Mazars: Burnside has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on regulatory compliance. He has spent over 16 years as a compliance consultant, assisting financial institutions with maintaining and strengthening compliance programs.
- Mark Dever, Director, Forvis Mazars: Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Dever was vice president and manager of cash management operations for a multi-billion-dollar regional bank holding company with several affiliates. He has extensive experience in many areas, including the automated clearing house (ACH), domestic wire transfer, affiliate bank post-acquisition conversions and consolidations, bank operation centralizations, and payment system risk.
- Natalie Straus, Director, Forvis Mazars: Straus provides regulatory compliance education and training to financial institutions nationwide. Her areas of knowledge include deposit compliance, deposit documentation and account administration, Individual Retirement Accounts, and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
- Nik Fahrer, Director, Forvis Mazars: With a career spanning more than 10 years, Fahrer’s experiences encompass serving a broad spectrum of clients, including crypto-native companies, traditional financial institutions, fintech firms, hedge funds, corporate crypto miners, and high-net-worth individuals. His professional involvement is further demonstrated by his active roles in the AICPA Digital Asset Tax Task Force, Center for Audit Quality Digital Asset Task Force, and Wall Street Blockchain Alliance.
- Roy Strickland, Partner, Forvis Mazars: Strickland is the managing partner of the Forensics & Valuation service line. His focus is litigation consulting work with attorneys, providing advisory services for the business, accounting, financial, and damage calculation aspects of complex commercial- and construction-related matters.
- Jennifer Walton, Director, Forvis Mazars: Walton has worked on and managed hundreds of litigation consulting engagements that have involved occupational fraud investigations, sources and uses of funds analysis, forensic accounting and tracing for domestic matters, business interruption claims, and economic damage calculations. She has a wide range of industry experience and has been designated as an expert witness and qualified to testify by deposition, arbitration, and trial.
- Kathleen Caldwell, Director, Forvis Mazars: Caldwell works exclusively assisting financial institutions with their Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance programs. Her experience includes all aspects of BSA and AML compliance program management, as well as performing independent validation testing of BSA/AML automated surveillance and monitoring programs. Her clients include community, regional, and super regional financial institutions.
- Jennifer Taylor, Senior Manager, Forvis Mazars: Taylor is a member of Forvis Mazars’ Risk Advisory practice unit, specializing in IT Risk & Compliance. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial institution management and operations. Before joining Forvis Mazars, Taylor was most recently a community bank president following her time as chief information officer and a bank examiner.
