Adam Temple, Assistant City Manager | City of Boynton Beach

About Adam Temple:
Adam N. Temple is a distinguished local government executive with two decades of leadership experience devoted to developing thriving communities in South Florida. He currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Boynton Beach, FL, where he oversees and portfolio of key departments such as Building, Code Enforcement, Development Services, Economic Development, Engineering, Fire Rescue, Planning & Zoning, and Police. Since Mr. Temple's appointment in Boynton Beach in 2019, the city has witnessed substantial commercial and residential expansion, particularly in the downtown area. He brings extensive experience from his previous roles in Miami, FL.

Before joining Boynton Beach, Mr. Temple served for over a decade as a Department Head for the City of Doral. His efforts were instrumental in Doral's growth and numerous accolades, including being named the Fastest Growing City in Florida, maintaining the lowest taxable mileage rate in Miami-Dade County, achieving recognition as a world-class Smart City, and being listed among Money Magazine’s Top 50 cities to live in. Mr. Temple's dedication to public service began nearly twenty-five years ago when he enlisted in the United States Navy. He honorably served four years as an active-duty United States Navy Petty Officer, including combat tours during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Mr. Temple holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami and an MBA from Florida International University. In addition to his governmental role, he maintains several business ventures, including ownership of a brewery/restaurant and involvement in real estate development outside Palm Beach County. He values spending time with his wife and two daughters, enjoys traveling, and ardently supports the Miami Hurricanes and other local sports teams.
