What if the chapters that felt like detours were preparing you for your purpose all along?

Donna Biase is the Co-Founder and CEO of Best Foot Forward, a Palm Beach County nonprofit she co-founded in 2010 with Debbie Ellman. For more than 16 years, Best Foot Forward has provided foster and at-risk youth with personalized academic support and comprehensive student support services to help them succeed in school and in life.

Originally from New Jersey, Donna earned her accounting degree from Rutgers University and began her career as an auditor in New York City with KPMG. She later worked as a financial analyst for CBS and Digital Equipment Corporation. After relocating to Florida in 1994, Donna shifted her focus to family and community and became an active volunteer at her children’s schools, her church, and local nonprofits.

What began as a commitment to making a difference in young people's lives has grown into an organization serving students from kindergarten through post- college throughout Palm Beach County, supported by a team of 40. Best Foot Forward’s accomplishments include 2026 and 2015 Impact 100 Palm Beach County grants, the 2024 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award, 2019 and 2017 Nonprofits First Hats Off Awards, and the 2018 George E. Long Award presented at the Downtown Boca Raton Rotary Club Mayor’s Ball.

Donna’s individual honors include recognition as one of Florida’s 2026 Top 100 Influential Executive Women, presented by PNC Bank, the 2024 Heart, Soul, and Service Award from the Zonta Club of Deerfield Beach, and the 2022 DIAMOND Award from the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.

She is an alumna of Leadership Palm Beach County’s Class of 2026, the 2017 Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship Nonprofit Executive Program–Palm Beach, and the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2016.
