About the Speaker

Milton Segarra, President and CEO - The Palm Beaches

Milton Segarra, a distinguished Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME), currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Discover The Palm Beaches, Palm Beach County’s official tourism marketing agency. Since joining the team in 2022, the destination marketing organization has achieved record-breaking visitation and tourism’s economic impact on the community surpassed $10.5 billion. Prior to this role, he led the Coastal Mississippi Tourism Board as CEO, and Meet Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Convention Bureau) as President & CEO. His exceptional career journey has seen him excel in the hotel industry with prestigious brands such as Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and the Sands Hotel and Casino in Puerto Rico. Beyond tourism, he has contributed his dynamic leadership to the healthcare and technology industries. He currently serves as a Trustee on the Destinations International Foundation Board and is actively involved with Destinations International as a member of the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) Board for the Professional Credential Program and the organization's Governance and Nominations Committee. Additionally, he also currently serves on the boards of Destinations Florida, the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, and Florida TaxWatch.  Segarra earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Business Management, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. Additionally, he completed executive programs at Ashbridge Business Institute in London, UK and Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
