Speaker: Melissa Emerson, 
Chief Operating Officer, Bethesda Hospital-Baptist Health

Melissa P. Emerson, MBA, BSN, RN is the Chief Operating Officer of Bethesda Hospital, part of Baptist Health. A longtime healthcare leader, Melissa began her career at Bethesda nearly 20 years ago and has returned to help lead the hospital's continued growth and commitment to exceptional patient care.

As COO, she oversees service line expansion, clinical excellence, patient safety, and employee engagement. Melissa previously served as Chief Nursing Officer at Broward Health Coral Springs and has also held leadership roles at Good Samaritan Medical Center and Delray Medical Center.

She earned her nursing degree from Palm Beach Community College and both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Melissa also serves on the FAU Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing Advisory Board.
