The Boca Raton Historical Society Announces 2025 Walk Of Recognition Honorees
Centennial Edition Honors 25 Luminaries of the 2000s with a New, Historic Tribute
The Boca Raton Historical Society (BRHS) and The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum proudly announce the distinguished honorees of the 2025 Walk of Recognition, a special Centennial Edition honoring 25 Luminaries of the 2000s — leaders whose vision, generosity, creativity, and community stewardship shaped Boca Raton at the dawn of its second century.
In celebration of the City’s 100th anniversary and The Addison’s centennial, this year’s program expands beyond its traditional slate of honorees. The 2025 class will be recognized together on an all-new Centennial Plaque, a permanent tribute that highlights the early 2000s as one of Boca Raton’s most defining eras of growth, innovation, and civic impact. The plaque will join the iconic Walk of Recognition installations at Mizner Plaza, home to the granite stars supported by longtime sponsors Marta and Jim Batmasian.

About the Walk of Recognition
Established in 1997, the Walk of Recognition honors individuals and organizations whose service and generosity have significantly enhanced the community. Honorees are traditionally memorialized with engraved granite stars in Mizner Plaza at Royal Palm Place. The Centennial class marks the first time a collective plaque will be added to the installation, symbolizing the transformative spirit of the 2000s.
