About Speaker
Michael Shapiro, the founding partner of Shapiro Partners and a Managing Director at Raymond James, is a graduate of The University of Florida. He completed both his Bachelor of Accounting and Masters of Accounting at the Fisher School of Accounting. Additionally, in 1989 he obtained his Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Florida Holland Law Center and is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
After practicing law for 9 years, Michael transitioned to the financial services industry. His career in wealth managementbegan with Smith Barney which was later acquired by Morgan Stanley. After 23 years, Michael along with his partner, Craig Lannaman, transitioned to Raymond James.
Michael has been recognized a by a number of publications such as Barron’s, Forbes, and Financial Times as a top Wealth Advisor.
He has brought a unique perspective to his clients as an Attorney and Accountant which enables him to view intergenerational wealth management and planning from many different perspectives as well as uniquely coordinate with clients’ CPAS, estate planning counsel and tax advisors.
