About Michael:
Nine-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Michael Williams joined WPTV NewsChannel 5 in 2011 after a distinguished career with NBC and CBS affiliates. His reporting has spanned presidential campaigns, the Iraq War, the Columbia shuttle tragedy, and major Florida stories including Hurricane Andrew, the Elian Gonzalez case, and the 2000 election dispute. He has also reported internationally from South Africa, Panama, Colombia, Haiti, and Cuba. Williams brings decades of award-winning broadcast experience into the classroom, giving students firsthand knowledge of journalism at the highest level.
